Unicode bold, Markdown, and HTML are different

Unicode bold changes the characters. It is useful when a bio or username field has no formatting controls. Markdown uses markers such as double asterisks where the platform supports them. HTML uses <strong> to convey importance to browsers and assistive technology.

Why are some accented letters not bold?+
